Be sure to check out his gallery! His photographs are like soaking you in to places where you'd love to be on holidays. It's hard to describe what fascinates me about his art. It's honest, clear, intense and a little melancholic I think.
So this drawing is my humble try in pulling the essence out of his awesome work.

It took me about 3 hours, using 2b, 4b and 8b pencils.

Excellent! I looked at the drawing and photo ref side by side, and except for the pencil marks in the bottom area of grey here on yours, they looked the same.

To me, the aim is not to copy the photograph, although it sometimes it's hard to stay realistic anyway!
