The quote is by Kurt Vonnegut. I love his books and the message to smile even when you're facing the worst strokes of fate. As I saw the reference photo, I had to think of this quote.

4,5 hours, 2b 4b and 8b wooden pencils.
I ruined the paper as a little water droplet fell in the upper left corner. Now the sheet is pretty wavy up there.

Excellent use of negative space. You can see so many lines and shapes that aren't actually drawn. Very cool.
